CoastWatch Satellite Course

In 2006 I established the CoastWatch Satellite Course, which was designed to expose NOAA Fisheries’ scientists to satellite data, and to help them integrate satellite data into their work flows. Since 2006 this course has been held regularly, and has also been adapted to target specific topics like sea ice or working with animal telemetry data. The courses were originally taught in-person, during COVID they were converted to an online format, which is largely how they are offered today.
